Shree Meenananda Foundation
Sri Meenananda Tirthanath
A teacher in a family line of Tantric gurus, a singer of his own compositions, and the founder, with Guruma Minakshi Devyomba, of this Ashram.
Sri Meenananda Tirthanath was born in Uttarpara, Hooghly, in a family of Tantric gurus. His father, Late Koula Obodhut Sri Shyamananda Tirthanath, and his mother, Late Koula Obodhuti Shyama Devyomba, are remembered in the shrine. Their portraits stand before Maa, as on the existing About page.
The existing site records that he was initiated young, travelled in India and the Himalayas, and now teaches Tantra openly, without regard to a visitor’s religion or race. Superlatives from the old copy — “unparalleled,” “flag bearer of Tantra in modern India,” “many siddhis” — are not repeated here as facts. What can be shown is the work: an Ashram, a Foundation, a body of songs, a book, and a public teaching life.
Guruma
Guruma Minakshi Devyomba built the Ashram with Guruji. Her advent tithi is observed at the Ashram; the official channel records clothing distribution on that day in 2024 and 2025.
Music
He is a lyricist, singer, and music director. The first devotional album associated with this work is Charan Dasi, with songs such as Maago Tumi, Esho Sakhi, Hey Gurudeb, and collaborations with Raghab Chatterjee and Manomay Bhattacharya. Guest kirtan at the Foundation includes Padma Shri Purna Das Baul and Kirtan Samrat Suman Bhattacharya.
The book
Jagatik Ajagatik (also printed on the old site as Jagatik Ojagatik) follows a young doctor into an ashram hidden near the Saptadhara, and into a Tantric life that does not abandon the world of service. A speech from the Kolkata Book Fair, 2020, is on the official channel. The book is spiritual fiction; it is not a documentary of this Ashram, and it is not offered here as a manual of supernatural technique.
Public name on recordings
Public recordings and the album Charan Dasi are also credited to Mounabrata Mukherjee.
How this page will grow
A fuller authorised biography — dates of diksha, the Himalayan itinerary, the sequence of the Ashram’s building — has not been supplied as a verified timeline. The page is structured so that those facts can be added without redesign, once they are given in Guruji’s own words or in Foundation documents.
